Huh? They are cops in the city. The school drop off and pick up were convenient for their work schedules in the city. I am sure one works a 7-3 where they can drop kid on way to work and pick up after. Must be easy for them to have kids at school in the neighborhood where they work. Most DC parents doesn't send their kids to school by their jobs.

Until now, I was under the impression that all the Maryland plates at D.C. schools exist merely to save money on auto insurance. Now, I'm going to have to reassess...everything.

I don't like people that break the law or break the rules, especially when you're a cop. However, with that said, DC has gotten unreasonably unaffordable due to so many bourgeousie moving in. And yes that is a positive in many ways--more Dior stores, for example--now there's one in the City Center AND right over the line with MD. But, it's not a good sign that many of our working class families that we want to protect us and our valuables as well teach our children (let alone mow our lawns, cook our food, provide daycare to our children) either can't live here or have to live in a yucky area that we would never want to live in willingly.

I said related note. Wasn't talking about these people. Again, hope they get convicted and made example of. We have many cop friends and I can tell you a large majority of cops live in deep Moco, PG county. Many teachers also struggle to live in a safe DC neighborhood.
