What is that?

It's Hopkins Center for Talented Youth. They offer online courses and summer camps, all outrageously expensive. My older DD did one course a few years ago and my 2nd grader wanted to try for it, too. Not sure if we'll sign him up for anything - guess we'll see what school offers next year in terms of enrichment.

Hey OP...my kid also got that weird spread in the verbal scores last year...96% on the one and then 52% on the other. She is really strong in verbal though so I was confused. Her other scores were in the 80's and 90's. She got into HGC this year and her verbal score on that test was 140 (which is pretty high). What does this all mean? Probably nothing useful, but I thought I'd share!

Pp here, and for that I am grateful because she did have some low scores.

^ what a ridiculous requirement. To identify them but not require schools do anything with that information then? Honestly that is about the dumbest thing I have heard in awhile.

Because the state requirement is for school systems to identify gifted students.

i am fairly certain this is a joke.

Clearly... It still boggles the mind why Montgomery County claims to be so bright..

In fairness, it's not a particularly funny joke.

It certainly isn't but I didn't make it... Just commenting that its intent at sarcasm is obvious...
