You can go for a "similar sounding" middle name, like:

Harley
Blaise
Walker
Thomas
Scott

Or throw 'em off with something different! Like:

Tycho
Luca
Gustav
Federico
Heinrich
Obama <-- go, Prez!

I know three Jamesons. One is 40, he was Jamie in grade school and HS and changed back to Jameson in college. The other two are 12 & 8 and they both are called Jameson in school and by parents. That might change as they get older. Who knows?

My vote for a middle name is Patrick.

OP here. My father's name is James and I (his daughter) have a feminized version of the name. I dont drink whiskey.

If anyone tries to shorten it to a nickname, I plan to correct them but people don't seem to do that much here. I have an acquaintance whose son is named "Alexander" and no one shortens it to "Alex" because we know she doesn't want that.

Our last name has two syllables.



I'm not the PP. I met a Jameson once, it wasn't shortened. I would go with a more average name for the middle name. Honestly, middle names don't matter as much.

It will become James. It always does. Jameson is a mouthful. It is a family name (everyone is a James in my family or a Jamison since we are British)

PP here, I come from an Irish family and the name has to have a musical quality to work when you're getting yelled at. Single syllable names don't give you enough time to build up a really good volume.

Jameson Daniel. You have to the hard D and the soft L to make the name lilt.

No problem. Our last name is relatively common: Sheppard. Not our spelling but the same pronunciation.
