+1 We have the bag of bags. I hang the bag of bags on a coat hanger suspended from the wire shelving that run high up in the laundry room. I go through them every six months or so and throw out any that are getting super worn (tears, holes, super gross).

Bag of bags is on a doorknob in the kitchen -- harder to forget because I see it as I walk out with my list.

I would love a set of self-pouch bags that can go over my shoulder (I usually walk to the store), ideally not manufactured by children. Any suggestions? Anyone?

Whenever I get a paper bag full. I donate them to a thrift store. Or bring to a school function.

We keep paper showing bags on a hook in a closet. Basically, we put all smaller bags into a big bag. For plastic bags, we also keep them in a larger bag then bring them to the grocery store about once a month to be recycled. Someone who deals with MoCo recycling told me that the grocery stores send them somewhere to be turned into Trex decking.

I don't use them, I just use plastic bags over and over for my needs.

I live in SoCal and these bags may be banned soon so I will be forced to use re-usable ones.

I am interested to see what others respond.

I have about 6 of the envirosax, and love them. They hold a ton (volume and weight wise) and hold up extremely well. The ones I have I've been using for at least 4 years, and haven't had to replace one yet. I've given them as gifts, and everyone I've given them to (mom, aunt, co-workers) still use theirs, too. Straps are long for going over your shoulder. And, they roll up tiny for keeping in your purse or car, etc. I am too lazy to roll them usually, but keep one rolled up in my purse. The rest I put in one bag and keep on a hook in the front closet.

most are in my trunk, but I have a few (stuffed inside a bag) in my hall closet.

I bought a few Harris Teeter bags that snap when folded. Very compact, much easier to keep organized! They fit in pocket on back of front car seat very easily. A few more are hanging in our coat closet.

I think you may have too many bags. I have around 4 canvas bags I use for groceries with mesh bags for produce. I keep them all inside one of the canvas bags, hanging on a hook where we keep our coats and shoes near the door. When they get dirty I throw them in the wash. The plastic reusable bags are almost as bad as the plastic flimsy ones because you can't easily wash them and they are just more advertising for stores. I have a couple more canvas bags for the farmer's market or for other outings.

OP here. Thanks for the ideas. I've tried the trunk of the car, but I need the bags to pack stuff in and run to soccer, library, school, etc. Getting out to the car is a pain.

Buying all new, uniform bags is an idea. But I'd still have to find somewhere to put them. Plus I like having some small bags for little snacks and larger bags for groceries.

Maybe I will find the biggest one and stand it in the hall closet with all of the other bags inside of it. There's more room in there in the summer without all of the winter boots.

I admire those of you who can get by with 2 bags. We're in MoCo so we need them for all of our stores and I need at least 6 for the grocery store. I probably have 10 right now in various sizes.
