Second and third the First Baptist CDC. Both my daughters went there -- my second is still there but headed to PS3 at her big sister's school next year. I'm already nervous about leaving. the teachers are so great and the kids love it there. Look beyond the church basement building -- it's a warm, fun and nurturing place for kiddos. The school is full day, year round. follows the creative curriculum. The school transitions to "camp" mode in the summer, which just means more fun and many alumni kids (3s and up) come back for the summer.

We got into two fed centers, and neither my husband or I are feds. This would be impossible for an infant. I think you will have no trouble, OP.

My children went to Huckleberry Cheesecake a few years back and we loved it, I think 7 years total across 2 children. I also know another family well that still has their youngest child there and they are very happy with it. very strong preschool program.

Just up the road from Woodley Park, the Gan HaYeled preschool at Adas Israel synagogue has recently (within the past year or two) expanded from the part-day preschool model to also offer several full-day classes. We are at Just Us Kids and love it, especially in the summertime, when the threes and fours classes take swim lessons 3x/wk at the pool at Georgetown Law Center.

I would also suggest looking at Little Flower Montessori at 16th and Columbia Rd (Columbia Heights/Adams Morgan). We have been very happy there for the past year. Very friendly, warm and loving environment, also bilingual English/Spanish. They do rolling admissions, starting at 2 1/2 yrs old.
