I agree that this is a good idea. And, we do this! But, I'm looking for something a bit more structured, so I can assess if she knows what she should know (if that makes sense). We don't get much info about math progress from the school here in MCPS, so I'm hoping to figure that out for myself.

PP here who recommended them before, sorry I had not posted more info. I was rushed and meant to come back. The name does sound weird. They are written by The Art of Problem Solving. They started with algebra and per algebra and back tracked down to thirds. Eventually they are supposed to have 2-5 available. I wish public school would consider using them for enrichment.

I suggested them because it's summer and it would be nice to deviate from the traditional workbook format. You will need both-the problems are in the workbook. There is no need to rush through them as a supplement. A lot of the math intake third grade books would be valuable even for fourth or fifth graders.

Another non traditional fun summer supplement would be the murderous maths series.
