Just by reading this I can hear those notes in my head.

I had unexpected tears recently hearing the beginning of Runaway, "On the street where you live girls talk about their social lives ..." I wouldn't have thought that song had any special meaning for me, but it really got to me.

If you like 80's on 8, switch over to First Wave (I think it's #33 on Sirius). It's 80s but more of the Brit and electro-pop stuff like Neworder, Erasure, The Smiths, Echo and the Bunnymen, etc. I also happened to be out driving tonight and they play an 8-hour mix of songs like this on Saturday nights. I actually drove a few more blocks just so I could listen to it longer!


Np here. Thanks for the heads up! I have Sirius on my new car, but I haven't figured out the stations yet. I have to find this one!

We're we at the same high school? That was our prom song too. Rumor had it that our class advisor, the Spanish teacher, may have allowed some stuffing of the ballot boxes because he was a huge Genesis fan.

I am 39, and the reality is 80's music is 100 times better than 90% of the music that is played today. I am glad Sirius has an 80's channel, and their countdowns every week are interesting to listen to.
