DD took 2 full-length paper "prep" tests to gauge her timing plus a short comp-based sample the school had sent out the link to. Both paper tests were 45/48, ~45 and 25 min each.
The formal test score is 47/48, 160, 99%

48/48 is 160 without any mistake, 47/48 couldn't be 160, should be 150s according to B-day.

I am surprised as well, but those are the scores we got. And yes, she is an August baby, one of the youngest in her class

That makes sense, she's very young.

The school sent info on the test? That's strange- ours had nothing at all preparation. Was your test online also? If you're in FCPS then it goes to show how inconsistent the schools are in testing.

Yes, the test was online at our school (FCPS). The example link was included in 1st grade resources page and consisted of 2 screenshots. The 2 "screenshot" questions were too primitive to be in a real test, but we found it useful as DD could see the layout (she is computer illiterate) and to see that the test is in color (paper practice she took were B&W).

We also prepped like crazy.

Made sure to read to DD every night, starting around five years ago. Talk to my child all the time too - to ask them about things, and answer their questions fully as if I'm writing a wiki entry, made sure that they understand that even if they are bright they need to always try, and often would answer my child's questions by asking what she thought the answer was, to try and teach observational and reasoning skills. Also made sure to be economically comfortable and picked a partner to create a stable home environment.

99%.

TROLL! No way anyone who preps would admit to it, even at an anonymous board because we all like to think our kids are genius without any extra help.

This is not useful if only the 99th percentile is posting.
