I have someone like that in my past. If he hit on me at reunion, I wouldn't be receptive at all because my husband is more important than some fantasy of what could have been. I'd try to turn you down politely, and then that would be the end of any friendliness between us. No more chatting on Facebook or anything (probably wouldn't block you, just would hide you).

A move this bold calls for an ice cold Zima!

+1. I tend to go to those things by myself because DH doesn't know anyone there and it would be super-boring for him, but I love him and have zero desire to cheat. If someone from the past propositioned me, it would go nowhere.

Unless you guys have been flirting via that Facebook friendship or you have some other indication she is interested, you have a great chance of making a fool of yourself.

I am not going to get into morality of adultery since it wasn't what you asked about and other posters covered it anyway.

What will actually happen:
He'll get drunk and spend the evening awkwardly hitting on her until she finds an excuse to leave. He'll go back to his room and try to jack off while sobbing. When he gets home, he'll find that she has blocked him on Facebook.

It probably won't be what you expect it to be Op. And if it is what are you going to do then, leave your wife?

If you're gonna cheat, make it worth it. Not with a woman almost 50, that's for sure.

Would I risk losing my husband, my home, my kids over some guy that I could have slammed 25 years ago? Nah. If I had wanted to do that I would have done it back then.

100% agreed

I think calling names is not necessary. Sounds like an over-reaction and not useful. BTW, affairs at reunions are not uncommon.

I don't seriously think that in five years, your looks will hit the skids. Sure, aging is a progressive process, but not one that changes THAT much.

She may be happily married now. Or not.

If you do decide to have that "affair" w/her, then do your darndest to not let the wifey find out.

But you may be opening up Pandora's Box here if your feelings for this woman go past just the sex.

Are you prepared to deal w/that....??! Just some food for thought.

Didn't a wife shoot her husband when she couldn't forgive her husband for hooking up with his old flame at their high school reunion?
