NP here but Wikipedia actually is extensively fact-checked and way more up to date than EB. And it links to its sources, which is great.

FWIW, PP was right. TJ's was indeed founded by an American named Joe. Germans bought it later.

It's a great store; we love shopping there. Many products are German though I wish they had more.

So it's good enough for you, but not your dog? That seems a little...odd.

We are vegan and can buy a weeks worth of produce (for 2) for $25.00. I would spend well over $60.00 for the same things at Whole Foods. The canned veggies are good, as is the almond milk. My husband loves their version of mini-wheats. Their face cream is surprisingly good and smells heavenly! I would definitely avoid buying pet products though.

I go there for the Moser-Roth chocolate and various other German-made goodies, which are very good and very reasonably priced. I'll pick up anything else I might happen to need as well.

We love Aldi. My son is in college and for one of his marketing classes, they each had to do a taste test on a food item. They had to do a couple of name brands, a "store brand", generic, etc. Five different kinds.
One kid did string cheese, he did cheese "nips", one did salsa, one Cheerios, there was a BBQ sauce and I can't remember what else.
Every kid got one of his food from Aldi, then from HT, Costco, etc.
In EVERY taste test, the product from Aldi won. Every time, no matter what the food was.

So it looks like Wikipedia isn't such a bad source...
