We were both smart, articulate and fun people. Despite our different "stages" of life, we had a lot in common. Our relationship didn't last very long but we parted on decent terms and I've kept up with him. Interestingly, I ended up going to the same college as him, the same med school as him and we ended up in similar fields of medicine. So apparently we had more in common than just teen lust. ALthough he was HOT! But I didn't have sex with him for the record.

Ugh. "Women" should date kids? Come on. This is only acceptable because this girl is barely an adult herself, not long out of HS herself and probably an immature young adult at that.

Would I want my 15 year old HS kid dating an 18 year old full time college student living on campus. no, No, NO, HELL NO. Not because the girl was a bad girl but because my son is not ready to date a woman with that kind of freedom. KWIM?

I don't think it scandalous exactly but I remember what I was like at 19 and I really didn't want to be hanging out with HS kids, doing HS things. I liked being in college and I wanted to be around other young adults (not HS kids). I had done my time in HS and I did not want to go back, lol.

So either this young lady is a little immature for her age or this boy is mature and is allowed the freedom to socialize with college students.

I realize that lines can get blurred these days with so many HS kids taking college courses. But they are still HS kids.

A four year difference is not a big deal, OP. It depends on the maturity of the people involved. I was a newly-turned 17 year old freshman dating a 22 year-old graduate student the first semester of college.

My daughter will be turning 19 as a college sophomore. She skipped a grade in school. Most boys are 17 and some even 18 as juniors. Maybe she doesn't want to move as fast as some of the college boys expect girls too.

Maybe your son is charming when you are not looking. Maybe he's nice to talk to. Who knows? Three years is not that much of a difference. My dad was 17 years older than my mom. I think that is gross. Why should women always have to be younger then men?

I know that there is no way that I would have dated a HS kid when I was in college. I don't care how great looking he was.

But if this college girl is particularly immature/not quite ready for the independence of college Or your son is particularly mature + has a great deal of freedom for his age...then, yes.

Or if he was redshirted like so many boys hear days he's 18.
