No.

Apart from the potential damage to the floor, I think it's a safety issue. Also, someone rollerskating in the house might damage something with sentimental value, and I'm not OK with that.

PARENTING fail? Why? Residence owner/renter fail, if anything. Roller skating in the house harms the floors, not the children.

I use to do it as a kid but the floors were tile.

Everybody must live in a bigger house/apartment than I do. It would not be possible for a 10-year-old to rollerskate in my house.

Yes, I do. We live abroad in a very large apartment with not a lot of furniture and the kids wear their rollerblades almost daily. They also use their scooters inside.
Floors are fine, they are not wood though.

Does anyone live under you?

+1 I was just getting ready to ask that very question!

No. Roller skating is an outdoor activity unless you are at a roller rink.

No.

When ds was about 3yo I allowed him to do this, but the floors were not hardwoods, they were pergo. If they were hardwoods, probably not.

No. I wouldn't let anyone skate in the house. It does scratch the floors.
