The acceptance letter said: "For now, please confirm your acceptance no later than May 4, 2016. As you can imagine, we have a waiting list of qualified candidates who are eager to attend if your plans have changed."

I think our daughter was selected because she was a #1 math student among all 5th and 6th-graders in her public school, 2 years in a row. She loves math so much and wrote a really impressive letter to tell them about her passion.

Can you tell a little about it? Did your child know anyone ahead of time? Who wrote the letter of recommendation? Do you know what had your child's application be accepted over another child's?
