To the PP who recommended the Cullen brothers - they are saying they need the last name of who recommended you otherwise they won't give you a appointment.

Anybody had this issue? Since I only got their name on this message board, I wonder if I can just say that and see if they will take it.

PP - can you recommend a particular dr at Virginia Hospital Center primary care?

For Northern VA area, I recommend General Internal Medicine group (www.gimg.com) and the Virginia Hospital Center primary care offices (http://www.virginiahospitalcenter.com/medical/primary_care.aspx)

I found Condrell to be very distracted. Nice guy, likes to talk about sports, but not too helpful about medical issues.

I really like Dr. Lucy Chang on 19th Street downtown. Not sure about insurance - I always just pay and turn it in.

Another shout out for this practice...I see dr. Shotashvili in Woodley and I LOVE her and her all female staff.

Darcy Hansen. She also has a great staff of NPs who I have been very pleased with. Office is at 19th and M NW.

Any other recommendations for a primary care physican? None of the Cullen brothers are taking on new patients.
