She took it way too far. The clerk has NOTHING to do with selecting cars that get towed. The type of insults she choose (re weight, education, teeth, etc) are totally irrelevant to being mad about her car. You don't treat people that way, it says a lot about someone's character, or lack thereof, by how they treat the people who are basically in menial jobs. I understand being upset, and I have had my car towed too and it sucks, but going apeshit and talking like you're in the movie Heathers to the clerk is just beyond gross and horrible.

BTW the internet has picked up on other instances of McHenry degrading people for not being "pretty", etc, such as on twitter and instagram. So I don't buy her heat of the moment brouhaha.

Exactly. It's like those people who went through the drive throughs of companies whose policies they didn't agree with to berate the person taking the order.

She obviously thinks she "deserving" of special treatment, but I'm sorry she's just not that good looking. Plus, I had no idea who she was until this link. She's a mean girl pure and simple.

But why personally attack the service employee? I doubt the clerk was the one who towed her car. Usually, normally "nice" people go off on the company, not make personal insults against the clerk.

The parking lot behind Hunan One is not dedicated to Hunan One -- there are spaces that are not assigned to the restaurant. She probably didn't see that.

This tow company is notorious for towing people who are legally parked, I wouldn't assume she was parked improperly.

+1 they really are horrible. There's no excuse for some of her comments, but that company operates completely by its own rules and is incredibly predatory.

There's no excuse for behavior and the personal insults. Her Twitter excuse was weak and didn't seem sincere. I agree ESPN needs to fire her.

She could have made rude comments to me all day, so long as I knew it was on tape. It must have been such a pleasure to upload that to YouTube.

One of the many disturbing things about this video is that she's relatively calm and has quite a few comments in her arsenal, which tells me this is not the first time she's pulled this sh$t.

I'm shocked at those who defend her because it's a predatory towing company. There's never an excuse for mocking someone for weight, education, appearance, etc. I doubt the woman behind the counter was there because she believes in the mission of Advantage Towing--she's just got a sucky low-wage job.

I've taught my children that you should never, ever lose your temper or berate anyone in a service postion. I call it an adult temper tantrum. I had a career in public service and can tell you that if you approach me calmly and explain the problem, I will help you. However, if you immediately scream and yell and use curse words, you will waste my time (and I'll put you on hold if this is over the phone) and yours and I will be less likely to work with you. Be polite, calm and acknowledge the other person and it's amazing to what lengths clerks will go to to help and make the experience pleasant.

Just be nice, people.

Britt - if you spoke to me this way, I would have shut you down. I'd either find someone else to help you (and you could wait) or I'd tell you to stop the belittling comments. She would not have made more than one rude comment to me, period.

I met her a few times when she was based in DC with channel 7, and this does not surprise me at all. She's not a very nice person.

The fact the video was edited is what makes this suspect.

Also, I would like to see the signage that is in the lot in question. That would be telling. From what I have read, her car was in the lot 2 hours after the restaurant closed.

I have met Britt, twice, and felt she was a nice person.

But in this particular case, apparently the tow employee was dishing it as well as she was taking it, but then edited the video to remove her ugly comments before releasing it to the media.

Suppose we'll get to see the whole video?

The F-bomb would have been forgiveable. Even if they were dishing it out, even if they were in the wrong - her conduct was unacceptable.
