$10 worth of meat to add to your freezer stash? Give me a break. WHAT meat are you buying for $10 to feed your family for a week AND add to a freezer stash?

It seems like we are going through boxes of pasta, rice, veggies, snacks, milk, eggs and cheese about as fast as I can bring it through the door. Advice?

That is below SNAP.

She didn't say she bought organic.

This seems super low for 7 people inc. 2 16 yo boys!

It also doesn't seem like enough food. This is the weekly shop, but what is there in between the weekly shop? Cash farmers market? CSA?

Weekly grocery shop looks like this

2 dz eggs
1 gallon ff milk
1 gallon 2%
Cheese
Tortillas
1 loaf of bread
1 box of Pasta
2 bags of chips
Sour cream
$20 worth of assorted fresh veg
Salsa
Cereal
Beauty products that we have coupons for
$25 worth of fruit
$10 worth of whatever meat is on sale to add to the deep freezer
Diapers (I don't count these toward the grocery count)
I buy baking goods as they are on sale

We typically just buy what's on sale when it comes to snack foods and fresh foods. I freeze fresh veggies and meats. We have about 6 gallons of frozen milk at any one time. I buy weekly so we don't run out. Paper products are purchased at Walmart. We make our own dry laundry detergent so it isn't a big expense (about $10 for 6 months supply)

Protein for 7 people, including 2 teenage boys?

So, the kids all eat free at school, or what? Because this isn't enough food to feed you all for even a couple of days.

No way is that enough food for 7 people unless you have a fully stocked pantry.

Can you post what you buy in an average week? We average $150/week for a family of four, and that is with two young kids. I can't imagine how much it must take to feed two 16 year old boys!!

Would love to have a detailed list and prices of your weekly groceries. I spend a minimum of $700 for a family of 4. Share you tips please!!!
