I agree. In fact, I kept waiting for some sort of revelation that the events of the fall season were merely a dream (nightmare) that Don was having. Or that it was an alternative life he would've had if he hadn't married Megan. It wasn't until he told Rachel's sister at the shiva that he was twice divorced that I realized time had just jumped forward and we, as viewers, were supposed to forget all the heartache of the fall and move on. I felt a little betrayed but tried to move along.
