OP here. Thank you for the responses. I want to clarify to whomever needs it that this is the man I was with before grad, not a new guy. I feel so foolish. It takes forever for me to open and trust but it came easy with him.

He has called and texted asking if I was still in NY and wanted to meet. I can't believe he's seriously asking that. I will not reply. Thanks again!

I'm OP. You must be confused or misread. He is the guy before grad school. I dated one guy for 2.5 months but I couldn't get over this guy. I actually don't move quickly. This was the only case in which everything just happened quickiy.

I understand that you're resentful, but you do realize you have avoided a traumatizing relationship with a truly disturbed person?

Cut him off entirely. Do not initiate any communication and do not respond to any of his, however much you are curious about the whys and wherefores. He probably would derive great pleasure from having you hang on, so don't.
