She didn't say the were vegan. I think she thought vegan was avoid way to find no dairy/no meat advice. Re formula, I agree, your kid should still be drinking a lot of formula until he turns one.

wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com is a great general resource. Also, try joining a facebook group...I like Feeding the Littles. As others have stated, you should not be weaning from formula/breastmilk until at least 1 year all additional food is "just for fun" and a learning experience. Good luck!
