Life is filled with worse than snow. Like sand, for example. You don't want your kid eating sand if possible, but mostly because the texture is awful. Snow melts and is lovely trickling on your tongue.

But Meh, I'm Canadian. We throw tree blood (aka maple sap) on the yucky old March snow and make maple taffy, with much fanfare and celebration.

Snow, like juice, is not the enemy.

Contaminants from the atmosphere? Acid rain?

I can see being against dirty snow a free days old, but what contaminants are in New, fresh snow?

My 9 year old loves snow. As long as it's not yellow or brown, who cares?

Snow is delicious!

My dog just loves to eat snow too. He doesn't even care if it is brown or gray, but even he doesn't eat the yellow snow. He just pees on it some more. He is really digging this snow.

In my willage we use melted brown snow as gravy for potato soup. American babies.

We make snow cones every year from the first snow. We put out a pyrex bowl and bring it in when it is filled enough to make them.

The shit at McDonalds and the frozen section of the grocery store is A LOT worse than fresh fallen snow.

I'm this PP, and I should add that after the snow has been on the ground for a few days I do kind of start suggesting maybe they shouldn't eat it. I'm a bit of a germaphobe and can't help it.

I CANNOT believe I just found these posts...now that the snow is melted! Most important post of the year! Bummer..I guess it would be gross at this point to scoop up any remaining snow in backyard shade? Maybe snow with tree droppings?

I am a lifelong snow eater, but yeah, eating gray/brown snow is pretty gross.
