Can folks share any good shower carriers/caddies they've used for sleepaway camp?

At my boys' sleepaway camp, they have showers attached to the cabin. The "shower hour" takes place before dinner so no one puts on pjs. They typically take turns showering - they strip at their beds, put the dirty laundry in the laundry bag, put on their shower shoes (slides with holes for water to drain) and wrap their towel around them. The toiletries stay in the bathroom in individual carriers. When done, they wrap the towel back around themselves and get ready near their bed. And then hang the towel to dry on the towel rack outside the bunk on their way to dinner.

LOL! I thought you were going to say that his shower at the hotel would be the last shower before you pick him up. My son went to a week of camp and when I asked him about showers, he said that he took one the night before I picked him up. Sounds about right for a boy at camp.

Seriously OP, this whole showering thing is not worth worrying about because he is not going to shower. At my son's camp, the counselors line them all up the day before they go home and do what they call the "car wash" to make them a little less rank before they head home.

Most of the boys wore swim trunks into the showers so they wouldn’t have to get dressed and undressed. These were 6th and 7th graders...

Ds took a backpack to put everything in. There were hooks just outside the shower. He changed in the shower stall the first night and then realized that most of the campers showered in their bathing suit.

Depends on the camp, is it an all boy camp or mix gender

If it’s mix gender take clean clothes to the shower house with him if is not attached to the cabin

If it’s boy only he’ll probably do as the other boys do

My DH started going to camp at age 7 mix gender untill he was 11 then boy only

Then he staffed at a boy only camps untill last year, depending on the camp cabins or tents depends on the shower situation. Some camps have cabins with showers some have no attached showers, in both cases the boys usually go naked to the showers. If it’s a tent camp not unusual for boys to be naked for almost all activities.

At my camp the showering was awful. There were two shower houses near the middle of the camp - one for boys an one for girls. We were assigned times by age - the youngest went first. There were no individual stalls - just a big changing room with benches and a big tiled room with shower heads. We would just wrap ourselves in towels and wear flip flops to and from the showers and carry a toiletry bag or whatever with us. We would actually dress and undress in our cabin to avoid having to drag lot's of stuff with us. The nightly trek to the shower house was mandatory and the showers were COLD!!! My friends and I hated them and I jus t remember jumping in and out of the that cold water as quickly as possible. Of course this was some time ago so it might have changed.

It doesn't seem much different than what you would see in a locker room.

At our daughter's camp, she takes a robe and undresses in the cabin. She might leave on her bra and underwear. They go to the showers and then takes her shower and gets dressed in her clean pjs.

Then there's the whole laundry issue. Just sayin'.

This question is killing me. All told, I spent a year of my life at summer camp (1 month x 10 years, including as a counselor) and I cannot remember how this worked. I really think each kid just did what they were comfortable with, and that changed as they got older. Showers were in a bathroom attached to our cabin. I think maybe I undressed in the stall then wrapped myself in a towel when I was done and dressed back at my bed.

The boys camp had a dettached shower house and I definitely remember seeing boys walking around in towels to get to and from there. I imagine it really differs by camp and even the 'culture' within any cabin any given year.

I am a girl (so not sure if boys did this too) and a lot of times we took showers in our swimsuits.
