PWC is probably fine just way too far. PG gets my vote

Schools in PG are horrible, so bad the realtors usually don't even bother to identify them. Those in the western part of PWC are actually pretty good.

Not this again. Random people who really know nothing about PG bashing it. The higher crime rate of PG county is in the roughly 3% of the county that is inside the beltway. The 97% or so of the county that is outside the Capitol beltway has comparable crime statistics with MoCo and Fairfax counties. Depends on where you work. Otherwise, you might as well toss a coin.

western PWC if I could take the VRE right to work and telecommute some days.

can't afford private schools so PG county is automatically out.

I live in western Prince William County. I love where I live. I wouldn't love a commute into DC from here though--thankfully that is not an issue for me.
