That's nice, but surely you've moved before and understand that it usually is not a one day thing. His parent offered to help on Saturday, so he accepted and started his move early. This isn't just a random excuse, but a pretty normal one. I agree that you're behavior is more irksome than his. Why don't you offer to cancel brunch with your friends and come the day early to help with the move. I know that it's starting a day early, but it's probably because his parents are available Saturday but not Sunday. So be a good sport and cancel random brunch date to help with a move. At least offer. He might not need the help and will tell you to go ahead and have brunch with friends, but you should at least offer.

Yes, it would be wrong. Moving is very difficult and can be time-consuming, too. He has a lot on in plate. And his parents have graciously offered to help, so your BF is doing the gracious, appropriate thing by working around their availability and accommodating the schedule that works best for them. You are being self-centered in this instance, and your BF is not. Sorry.
