We went on a Monday. In the mail the following Friday with no expedited fees. This was a couple of weeks ago.

We just renewed our kids' passports. Appointment was in early February; we expedited and received them in less than two weeks.

They quote you 4-6 weeks because sometimes it takes 6 weeks. Your choice is fairly simple:

1. Don't shell out the extra cash and hope it'll be done in under 6 weeks.
2. Shell out the extra cash and relax knowing it'll be there in time.

No shit Sherlock! She was asking what was the general consensus of prior experiences.
Read much asshole?

Wow, angry much?

Definitely! Keep in mind that if you get a child's passport, it is only good for 5 years. Adults are good for 10 years.

called and they said you can start out as regular processing time and if looks like it is not going to make it then pay expedite fee. So I guess that is what I'll. I have 5 weeks and 3 business days, hopefully close enough.
