My son was well-liked and respected among his peers and adults. He has many passions and a rare compassion for other boys. I highly recommend the single sex education.

I regret sending my son there. It has many serious flaws, including some bad role models and hypocrisy. You don't know for sure what your son's experience would have been like.

Diversity depends on the school. My boarding school was very diverse economically, geographically and ethnically.
my kid goes to one like this also; probably why it’s not on that list.

I went to one of the schools on this list and, to be honest, it wasn't such an amazing experience that I ever considered sending my children there. I now view these lists/rankings with a slightly "open" eye since I know the truth about one considered top…first and foremost - living in a city like DC with all of the great educational options there is very little reason to send your kids away.

Eh. I went to Madeira in the 90s. I'm smart, but not super super smart, and I feel I was average for my cohort.
If you compared these selective schools' SAT scores to the SAT scores of the best students in the higher-achieving public schools in the US I am guessing they'd be on par. This isn't news. Selective schools are selective. Smart kids are smart.
