None is a name I'd give my daughter, but I think they're all fine.

(Valentina is PARTICULARLY classy and lovely, spirit of Grossmama.)

OMG - me, too! I was just embarrassed to mention it earlier.

Grossmama is coming to get you, PP.

I like all of them, but especially Claudia. Wasn't that Lady Bird's first name? That woman always seemed like such a genuinely kind woman, plus her campaign for wildflowers was so impressive. I hate 66, but I love when the flowers bloom.

Agreed that Lady Bird was a class act, but she was called Lady Bird from childhood, so isn't a good representative of the name Claudia. It reminds me too much of I, Claudius.

I like Claudia the best.

Don't like Josie nickname. I always hear Josie Grossy. Thanks Drew Barrymore.

Claudia is nice. Valentina does not sound trashy to me in the slightest; it sounds Russian.

Josephine makes me think of the empress. "Josie" sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Mom of Josephine/Josie

I like that one best

Josephine is a pretty name. I don't like Claudia at all.

Valentina is a little strange in America -- I tend to agree with the PP who said it sounds a little trashy. But I knew a Russian woman names Valentina, and it made sense for her (she was born and raised in Russia, though).

lol who is grossmama?

My scary ass great grandma. She died in the 70s before I was even born, but she was so dour that when I was chit chating about names with my parents and floated Valentina, they both involuntarily shuddered. So my Eastern European great gran is going to stub your toe or something from the great beyond for calling her name trashy.
