If you read the story again, no on in authority makes that comparison. Rather, it is an allegation hurled by people reacting to the murders on Facebook and other social media. To wit: "The shooting has been met with an outpouring of anger on social media, where people posting new pictures of the victims studying and playing basketball claimed they had been “murdered execution style”.
You're smart enough to know the imagery "execution style" evokes -- on their knees, gun to the temple. There's no actual evidence of fact that the slayings happened this way. Not from police, not from a medical examiner. It's merely the claim of some angry person on social media reacting to the news. You really should delete the use of those words in your subject line.
That seems like an extremely trivial point to argue, but the first article to which I linked said this:
"Sources told local WRAL News that all three had been shot in the head."
If that does not sound like executions to you, I will concede the point. The important aspect is not whether they were on their knees, but that that they were premeditatively murdered.

I am sure that if this incident had been a Muslim killing three white non-Muslims you would be equally blasé, correct?
If?And yes, I have been. Not about the killings. About some folks' incessant need to politicize every single event as long as it fits their narrative.
