Whatever happened to her? Did she remarry?

This forum is addicting like crack. I love it. It has helped me sort out things, and I like to problem solve when it's a topic that I can offer personal experience.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen of DCUM. I think it's great.

By the time wronged spouses or lovers are posting here, they already know the answer. people considering leaving have likely agonized for months or years. No one is coming her for a recommendation to truly leave that hasn't struggled with for a very long time. I don't think you need to worry that this site is recklessly causing divorce or breakups.

Like everyone, my relationship has tough patches, like whenever I feel unappreciated or when her thinks I am too high strung. I wondered about posting about communication styles, ways to talk constructively about how I feel unappreciated. But that was before I realized that most of this forum isn't really about how to maintain a happy relationship. A lot of these posts seem to be about infidelity, really far gone relationships, glib/crazy/downright mean responses...

I mostly was jus t surprised that the level of cruel--which is pretty high in the others forums--really doesn't hold a candle to this one. LOL.

The lurid tales of overpaid office workers.

Not just that, but so many people on DCUM are quick to tell people to kick their friends/lovers/family to the curb and "stand up for their rights" with very little context.

I know that this stuff should be taken with a grain of salt, but I wonder if anyone has taken of the rash advice that they've read here seriously and then gone on to regret it.

If you want to be told to get counseling or a divorce, this is the place for you!

There's a lot of simplistic, bad advice handed out here. Every other thread has people yelling to dump their friends, SOs and spouses.

Sometimes that is necessary, but not as frequently as offered-up here.

You're aghast here? Ever tried the explicit forum?

Just sharing. You can go back to your tales of infidelity and hatred now.

I was a little taken aback at first too. But if you can filter through the noise, there is actually a lot of good insight into married life to be gleaned from the forums.

The forum can really be helpful. I have been on here before to ask questions/vent about the lack of sex between DW and me. Sure, you get a lot of entrenched opinions and battle of the sexes replies, but you also get a lot of helpful advice from people from a totally different perspective. Anonymity can be helpful in that people can tell you what they really think.
