I have a very hot friend who is 29 with a kid and she gets literally 100+ messages a week on okcupid. A good 35-50% are actually messages that looked like the guy read her profile and in her age range.

So i can't believe what the OP is saying is true if she is as hot as she says she is. Guys will definitely not care if she is that hot.

Yeah. It sucks, but most single men your age, and slightly older, are looking for women with no children. If you were 40+, it would actually be a lot easier.

Most people who don't have kids aren't going to want to date people who do. Especially if the kids are young. It's tough for single people with kids to date sometimes, but it makes sense.

Just look for single dads.

It's a bit of problem unique to your age range, because most guys in that age are still either single, or married with/without kids and not divorced yet (if they are ever going to be), and thus not on online dating sites. The guys who are online dating in your age range are likely either never-married or divorced with no kids, and those guys (largely, there are exceptions) won't want yours.

If I were you, I'd consider targeting my searches at older men (most likely 37/38 at the bare minimum) preferably with kids of their own. Some even older men (say 43+) without kids may be willing to consider dating a woman with kids, especially if she is that much younger (and willing and able to have more.)

How old is your child? Wouldn't most single dads understand you as a mom probably have your child with you more than the dads who sometimes have weekends only?

I am in a weird position in that I am too old to have another child (39 yrs old) but I have a child already. Even the single dads aren't too interested b/c I have my child with me 24/7. Never married guys want someone younger who can still have kids. Sigh.

Just a thought for meeting single dads: Everytime I take my DS to the park on Sunday mornings, I have noticed there a lot of single dads there having fun before going back to mom's house for the week.

Are you sure? There used to be something in the more advanced search settings- you can filter by height, race, etc. Children were included there too.

He's not a troll. His point of view is valid, and OP should know it exists, though everyone does not share it. I know I didn't care to date men with children for similar reasons. Not everyone feels that way though, so I'm confident OP will be fine.
