There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.

Agreed, PP! NP here, and I was thrilled to be able to run after work today, because we've got more freezing cold days ahead. No thank you!!!

Ugh. Better you than me! I can't tolerate the cold these days and I HATE the wind, so I'm mostly treadmill-bound till March.

I run in just about any weather.

Good for you for getting out there.

Runner here. I've read the studies and have come to the conclusion that I would rather have some aches and pains later in life (and I'm almost 50 now) than be even the slightest bit out of shape or overweight. I run hard and have a strong healthy body because of that, even after five kids.

Pretty much over-doing anything isn't good for you. Moderation. Maybe I missed it, but didn't see anyone on this thread indicate they are "overdoing" anything. Maybe some are. I'm one of the ones who did 4mi. I run 3x/wk and simply stuck with my schedule.

I had a great interval session on the treadmill this morning. Cold is one thing--though I'd rather do a long run than intervals--but with the wind, that's a non-starter. I lived in Chicago for seven years, so have enough cold weather running street cred.
