You sound a bit full of yourself from the post. There are many of us who have worked hard (or good genes or both) to rock a bikini post kids.

Besides body issues, I think the issue with bikinis is grabby toddlers causing a wardrobe malfunction.

I'm 49 have always worn bikinis. I work hard to stay fit, so might as well show it off. I am very realistic so the minute I think I no longer look good, I'll move to a one piece.

I don't wear a bikinis, but I think women who are confident to wear them rock! You sound like you have a great figure op, don't sweat it.

I'm 30 with two kids, 1&3, and right now am not wearing bikinis when with the baby because she will pull. When she's out of that stage, I'll go back to wearing them. They wear bikinis too (though often just the bottom if we're at a beach.

As long as you look and feel good, then go for it.

If you get dirty looks from other moms, they are most likely jealous and envious looks.

I see women of all ages wearing bikinis. Actually, I see more bikinis than one piece suits. Wear your bikini, and don't over think it. I prefer a bikini because it makes it easier to use the restroom.

Not trying to ask this snarkily, but I'm curious, how are they more comfortable? I never really thought of any swimsuit as particularly comfortable or uncomfortable -- they're all pretty stretchy...

OP, again. I hate the stretchy wet fabric, especially when you step out of the water and it starts to get cold against your skin. Or worse, if you have to take a potty break and pull your wet swimsuit back on. Plus, I like feeling the sun on my skin at the beach. Frankly, I'm surprised I have to explain this. Bikinis seem so clearly better to me, but I'm staring to realize there are other opinions out there.

Wear what you are comfortable with. Personally, I can't stand bikinis because I like to dive in the water and the tops just never seem to stay put. Plus, my stomach is not amazing (at least not in a good way!). But when I see others wearing bikinis (moms or otherwise), I just think more power to them. Why would being a mom mean you can't wear a bikini? Does not compute to me.

On the other hand, I draw the line at thong bathing suits For anyone.

I've always worn two-piece suits and will continue to do so unless I gain a ton of weight. (5'8", 140, muscular, 42.) I have hips and a small chest, so one-pieces don't look right on me. I see lots of moms in bikinis at the pool. I typically wear fairly modest suits, though, and wouldn't wear just a bathing suit at the splashground - I'd usually have a tank and shorts over the suit.

We must not go to the same pool, because I wouldn't be seen dead in anything else. It gives me an incentive to work out and eat healthy, and even if it's a frivolous reason, I'll take it.

Seriously, wear what makes you happy. You only have one life.
On beaches in France, my home country, many women go topless. Grandmothers, young girls, anyone. I feel Europeans have a much healthier attitude towards nudity than Americans, who sexualize everything.

Ok. It's January. Where are you going in a bikini????
