I always find it so interesting how men (usually men) will support/promote their affair partners that aren't qualified. Even if neither are married, it seems so risky to give the appearance of favoritism. I think I would almost be hyper vigilant to not promote someone I had a personal relationship with unless it was well deserved - even for only a personal friend.

I guess it may be because I would hate the idea of someone posting something like this about me and everyone thinking I'm a buffoon.

+1. The title of the post suggest you don't although you make it fairly clear you know it to be true in subsequent posts. Do you know for sure and if so, how? If not, it is all just speculation.

This. Why don't you disclose anonymously to the spouses and then sit back at work and watch their personal lives crumble. Probably one will leave. Of course you should also look for a new job to cover all the bases.
