But because it is Israel and as a result of the power of the Jewish lobby here, they have gotten a pass repeatedly and the US has opposed any sort of action to hold Israel accountable. It is a travesty that this has happened and is continuing to happen.

The war crimes committed by Israel are real and to condemn an investigation which is not even a condemnation but an inquiry into it is unethical and wrong. Thousands of Palestinians and children were killed, and I am glad someone is finally looking into it, but Im not holding my breath.

I promise you the second that a dozen Jews hijack a plane and crash it into a building in the US, we will no longer support them.
Of course, Jewish people would never do such a thing. Jihad isn't their thing. Understand?

I'm not excusing the acts of Israel. Rather, I'm stating that perhaps the rational grown-ups who the global community looks to for leadership understand that such an inquiry is ill-timed and will result in more violence.

So they go through the scenarios, evaluate all possibilities and do what's best for America.
Standing by Israel for this isn't akin to nine year olds picking teams for dodgeball. We live in a screwed up world right now thanks to Muslim extremists who are hell bent on dragging the world back to the Middle Ages. If they'd keep their shit within their borders like North Korea we wouldn't have to worry about them. But they hate Israel and they use antisemitism to recruit and incite jihadis.
This is foreign policy 101, people.
Let's explain it to the children who think we should be allied with Israel. Does Israel have any natural resources we need...no. Does Israel supply anything the U.S. needs...no. Does Israel by its continuing action against the Palestinians increase the appeal of jihadis...yes. Does our support of Israel harm our national interests....yes. Is Israel an outlaw nation but for our support of it in the UN...yes. In a pure self interest foreign policy analysis is Turkey, Iran, or Saudi our natural allies...yes. There is no reason for the U.S. to support Israel. The country does nothing for us and holds back a workable foreign policies. Add in Israel's human rights record and lack of ability to change anything on the ground in the region and its a clown show. And no the intelligence Israel supplies just supports their own interest to such a point that it is useless.

I see. You are saying there is a good time and a bad time to call a criminal a criminal?
