It looks like the news that came out recently is that the finalists were selected. It looks like from the 8 semifinalists listed in the earlier posts, only Anya Michaelson of Lake Braddock made it to the finalists.

I don't think the PP sounded defensive at all. Just noting that the schools are doing a good job.


PP didn't say Oakton and Lake Braddock high schools are doing a good job but rather focused on the fact that their students' achievements were "more impressive' . All the students' achievements are impressive and saying some students' achievements are more impressive or less impressive is not proper.
