What was the composite? That is the number in bold that determines who is pool eligible. 132 or higher gets in pool.
Composite was low- a shock. We didn't prep and ds was pulled out for a reading groups during the practice test for the last 2 sections. In past years sometimes they've used one of the three so I was hopeful. Nnat was 97 %. This kid hasn't had anything lower than a 4 in any subject his primary teacher teaches and is in reading and math pullouts.

I'm curious - what makes you say that? My DD is pretty intense and I find AAP a good fit for her. She's in 5th grade now. Her AAP teachers have all seemed better equipped to deal with her "big emotions" than the Gen Ed teachers did. I feel like she's found her tribe.
She hates failure or the perception of failure, hates not being perfect at everything. She is very hard on herself.
I am not saying I am trying to avoid these things for her, but I can see meltdowns in her future if she didn't excel at what was supposed to be a special opportunity.
She scored super high on the NNAT, so qualifies per those scores, I guess, I don't know how it works. She is incredibly smart, but her personality, I don't see it. Maybe in time, but not yet, I don't think.
Nonetheless, I am curious about her scores and eligibility even though we don't plan on doing anything with it. I just like to know!I am big child.

Students who are not in the 2nd grade pool will not be notified. Test results from fall administration of the CogAT are expected to reach families via mail from the local school by the end of January."
If we don't get scores this week, we are not in pool?

If you don't get a pool letter this week, you're not in the pool. Everybody will get scores by the end of the month either way.
Don't sweat it. It's not college admission, truly. Your child can have a successful life even if you don't get a letter this week.
