Conversion and alternating services are very different requests. Asking someone to periodically attend your religious service is a reasonable marital compromise, asking them to actually *convert* is a whole other level. I don't get the impression from OPs posts that merely attending Catholic mass will be enough for her husband.

Please post the text of your marriage vows, then I'll tell you what to do.

If I were in this situation, I think I'd alternate services. I think it's nice to get different perspectives. Going to the same church week after week can get boring.

I don't think pushy people get into heaven.

His focus shouldn't be on what church, but what you believe. Don't both denominations believe that God sent Jesus to this world to live among us and to die for our sins? If I understand correctly that is a core belief for these faiths. So you're both on the same page whether or not he realizes it.

He had bought into the marketing and fear. Her DH is worried for her soul.

OP: this, pretty much.

Get a new catch phrase. You're not as insightful as you think you are.

And you are? I thought her comment was very insightful and dead on.

I'm not trying to be insightful. This shouldn't be a problem. It's pathetic.

Anonymous wrote:OP..I NEVER understand people like you. I'm a pretty flexible person, but there are about 4 things in life that are absolutely non negotiable and religion is one of them. How is this evenue an issue? My DH would feel foolish after asking this twice. I'd be direct and to the point. The second time I'd be so crystal clear there would not be a third, and if he tried a third time I'd be worried he might be suffering alzhhimers.

You must be pussy footing around the issue. Grow a pait and your problem will go away.

x2. And the Alzheimers comment gave me a good laugh.
