That sounds like something went very, very wrong with that particular chicken. Take the receipt back and tell them what happened. I wouldn't be surprised if they refunded your money.

Costco chickens are so good and they are quite good-sized for the price. We are a family of four and we usually get two dinners out of one plus enough for a sandwich or two for my husband to take to work. I might go get one tomorrow after thinking about them because of this thread!
