Pretty sure OP isn't a kid.

My daughter loved Annie. She is 6 (white). You all know that kids don't give a crap about black and white, right? They just love a good movie.

Why were you trying to avoid Annie?!?!

Does it matter? Can we not prefer certain movies over others now? Take a hike.

I matters. I wanted to know if she was trying to avoid it because the girl playing Annie was black.

Wish I saw this thread before I went today with my 9, 6 and 5 year old. It is generally fine. Agree that the least hour drags. There are several deaths (not graphically shown but could be upsetting).

My 9 year old thought it was ok. My 6 year old girl loved it. My 5 year old was entertained but did talk about the death the scenes after.

There were a lot of kids under 12 at the movie we went to. Tons.

The biggest problem was that they showed a preview for pitch perfect 2 which is pg13 and had bad language and ended with one character saying to anothern"do you want to have sex? Are you frigging kidding me.

My six-year-old liked Into the Woods a lot more than Big Hero 6. She didn't pick up on the more risqué parts but she loved the singing and fairy tale aspects.

PP once more. As a big plus, IMO, it also led to my 6 year old initiating conversations later about some different than usual fairy tale plot points. There was a ton that went over her head, but there was also some really good stuff for her to engage with. (Don't want to spoil anything by being more specific)

Our six year old really loved it. But, my husband is a fan of the show, so she's heard the music a lot and knew the storyline. She also liked Annie, which I thought was pretty dreadful.

Annie is super long too. Whatever happened to the 80-90 minute kids movies???!!!
