I believe this poster is correct. However, since the District opted out of NCLB (and the federal gov't was paying for this transportation), my understanding is that the city agreed to pick up the cost for the buses for those kids that were already in the program (not incoming or new students who qualified). From what I was told, this program is being phased out. To my knowledge, there are no parent groups paying for charter buses going to WOTP DCPS schools. The buses most of you are referring to are these NCLB city funded buses. If someone else has more knowledge of this, please correct and clarify me.
