My first child's name means "cheerful" and I absolutely cared about the meaning. I had hoped it might be a part of her personality.

People aren't being cutesy when they think about these things. Frankly, it's no less valid than "honoring" someone with a baby name.

Agreed. And the term "validating their fertility" is about as offensive as it gets. Forget that they are accusing someone of doing this in a cutesy way with their own child. Shame on you PP. May 2015 see you become a nicer person.

She was a surprise after parents told they could not conceive.

Also know a Jennifer, born after parents adopted two children. Yeah, Jennifer. Her parents were equally thrilled as Miracle's but didn't feel like coming up with a cutesy symbolic or made up name to validate their fertility.

Could you be more rude?

What about Evie, meaning life? It was our runner up name for #1

And this might sound nutty, but I like the name Clover. Considered it as a middle name for #2

I also like the name Tanith, like the ice dancer. It is the goddess of the moon a fertility figure.
