So, are you willing to stay at Watkins after K? (and agree with pp, Brent and Maury are throw-aways is you aren't IB) Because if you pull a good number here you'll get in a pebody and lose your chances at Logan/SWS. If you're IB for Peabody but you'd rather go Logan long-term - I'd flip this...

We plan to move in the next couple years or go private.

I should clarify that #6 is our subpar IB school, which we'll almost definitely get into (unless demographics have dramatically changed since last year and our neighbors are all equally unlucky in the lottery).

I would be wary of limiting your choices based on what your nanny is able to walk to. Does that mean you're not lotterying for your "dream" schools at all? Or do you not have any other dream schools elsewhere in the city? I'd be loathe to miss out on a chance to try for IT or YY based on what the nanny is able to do this year. There are lots of Hill parents who carpool to several HRCS.

I hope this is a joke...are people really that out of touch to think that uber to/from twice on a school day would be feasible to transport a kid to school? Really? I have friends that struggle to pay aftercare yet alone $800 a month in taxi costs.


In this case - the family has a nanny already they are paying for.
