Colgate #1. Seriously? We thought the school was so unimpressive that we didn't stay for the information session. Besides thinking the school was gloomy and that the emphasis on frats and athletics was pathetic, the overblown sense of "self" totally turned us off.

I just don't get the appeal of Kenyon. How is it any more beautiful than any of a number of other Midwestern/Northeastern LACs? We visited and were underwhelmed since our expectations were so high. I went to Oberlin, which is not particularly beautiful,but I thought they were similar. I do like the eclectic architecture but fwuw DC preferred the schools with more homogeneous architecture.

W&M is old but the campus as a whole is decidedly average. UVA belongs on any list due to Jefferson's original plan.

Rhodes does not belong on this list. Pepperdine is pretty great.

I think Middlebury is gorgeous but maybe it didn't make the list because it lacks some of the campus plan or coherence of the others. Williams is also ver picturesque. I have seen Kenyon as well and it is one of the most beautiful campuses I've ever seen.

? I guessed it would be #1. Surprised it onl got 2nd. Overlooking Malibu and the Pacific Ocean - It’s the prettiest college campus I’ve seen.

I get that it's a great location. I've just not seen a single building on the campus that wowed me. I must be an East Coaster. I'd rather see schools like Duke, Williams, or Middlebury on the list.
