I don't like receiving gifts that I paid for.

Maybe she doesn't feel comfortable to use your money to buy you presents? When I was SAHM, I felt very uncomfortable treating myself to any luxuries while my husband worked his butt off.

What about a trial separation.

She may be worried about finances since she no longer works and thought it better not to do a big gift. Perhaps she is looking at other things - family outings during the holidays - as shared gifts for the family and that you don't require something tangible. Agree this is less about gift and more about sentiment, but didn't you guys discuss gift/no/gift/budget for gift at all before you bought her something extravagant?

Why is she SAH? If you're kids are in school now and you all have a weekly cleaner and you cook often, why SAH now? Was she laid off? Perhaps she is feeling down because she doesn't feel as valued as she once was.

Consult a lawyer. Part of me is thinking she's having an affair (or a series thereof) and is hoping if she acts bitchy enough, you will leave and she can be St. Deserted-Wife. As it is now, she doesn't have to do much of anything.
