Make you get a metal one not plastic. My sister killed hers 2 years ago. Our mother's metal one is still going strong at 40+ years.

Experienced spritz-er here. Do NOT make the dough ahead of time unless you have some kind of magical recipe specifically designed for spritz cookies that can be premade. IME it does not end well. You have to make the dough and immediately start gunning.
Also, do not use the plug-in, newer models. An old fashioned mechanical action press is the best bet.
If you keep having issues, and you've tried different guns, maybe it's your recipe.

You can find the old Mirro aluminum pressed at goodwill. My mom's lasted forever but they are kind of a bitch to use.

Oh gosh seriously. Your response is nicer than mine would have been, since she said she laughed. Even I could tell from the OP that you were dealing with spritz and that rolling wasn't an option.

PP here, when I would let it soften to room temp the dough would get stuck and not release from the press.

Since Google is my friend I did look up a spritzer cookie and it looks yummy. Im not even into baking but I think ill start with a spritz!

Not PP but I also have never been able to master these. Cheap sets. Expensive sets. Just can't make it work.
