I can't tell you how one store compares to another b/c I find it inconsistent not only between brands but within the same brand, as others have noted.

For WHBM, I was looking for a navy dress but they didn't have it in store so I tried on a black dress in the same style to figure out sizing. When I ordered the same size in the navy dress, it was too big. When I went to return it, the saleslady suggested I try on the smaller size.

Something similar also happened with a pair of BR pants. I was buying the exact same pants and the sizing had changed. It's so frustrating to not have consistent sizing. if I'm an X, let me be an X across all brands. I don't want to be an X, Y and maybe an T elsewhere. Men have it so easy...

I’m size 12 and just bought an 8 dress.

Anyone have an idea about dress lengths? I’m tall, 5’10”, looking at a size 12 dress(“knee length”)……I need 39”+ on the center back length. Anyone have any thoughts?? Thank you

I Measured my size 2 pants from White House Black and it was 30 inches
On their size chart, size two is 26. My waist is 29. These pants are too big
Seriously, just take a measuring tape and measure their pants. All manufacturers do this: Kohls etc

Buy a size down for sure, they run true to size initially but tend to give as Day goes on. They are made with latex I think which makes them super comfy but even with a size down I can still pull them off without unbuttoning them. Tops are hit or miss depending on how busty you are. Honestly, I feel like the tops are a very heavy fabric. Even the tanks feel heavy to me. Definitely my favorite store though and best place to buy jeans for me.

I saw that one in the store the other day. It is not too wild. It is just a big print, so it just depends on whether you like big prints. For me, since I'm short I tend to stay away from big prints.

OP here (from 18 months ago!) My post was just resurrected by someone else.
I ended up ordering the dress I wanted in a 4 and a 6 and the 4 was a better fit and still kind of baggy in the middle (and it was a sheath dress). I sent both back.
I'm often an 8 in other brands so I agree that WHBM runs really big.

I just checked out their sale and found these shorts. I am usually a 6 or 8 and got the 6. They fit great but what do you think of the pattern - too wild?

Vanity sizing. I'm a small woman but this place is the only store I'm a freakin 00 or XXS. It's silly.

That said I love their Blazers - only place that fits me and doesn't make me feel like I'm playing dress up. I have 5, they are cut really well for small women and I like the 3 quarter sleeves. I love their tops too but have never been able to do dresses there. They are all way too fitted/tight for a work environment.

I just went there today for the great sale. I find they run pretty large. I'm usually a 2 or 4 depending on the store, but the 0 shorts fit better than the 2. However that is the regular 0. I don't know how the 0P would fit. And for tops, I bought an XXS. I'm usually an XS in other stores.

Their clothes are so cute! And of good quality.
