Our kids are 10 and 8, and one has a winter birthday and one a summer birthday, and I always schedule their well visits together, for convenience. It doesn't have to be right at their birthday.
I'm not sure how we got so off, ourselves; but I also have kids who are 18 months apart that we schedule at the same time.
