Conflict of interest if it's my child's doctor (or my child's teacher). I have to worry how our relationship might impact the doctor's advice,and doctor has to worry about how he is perceived since he holds a position of power over me and my child. It's the same reason you can date a co worker, but not a supervisor. How many times a year you see each other is irrelevant.

Why is it weird to date a doctor you're kid sees a couple of times a year but not weird to date a teacher who your child sees every single day (even if they're not your kid's teacher). I don't get that logic at all.

Why is it weird to be dating your child's doctor? I don't see anything wrong with that at all, assuming of course both are single.
