+1 and it would help OP deal if she knew what the reason was. All she's doing now is being pissed.

DH and I shared a townhouse in Woodbridge for a while, and our new neighbors strangely left insanely bright lights on all night in the bedrooms.

Turned out to be grow lights for pot, and apparently there was some meth being created in there too. You never know. Breaking Bad and all.

+1. Got burgled once too. I leave a few lights on around the house (interior) every night. Figure the small cost is worth it vs. a completely dark house asking to be burgled again. But the entire house is not lit up as OP describes.

I haven't really noticed if my neighbors keep their lights on or off since it isn't any of my business and I'm not too cheap to spend money on decent window treatments for my bedrooms.

You should put some curtains on your windows. I have never had an issue with seeing lights bc I close my curtains at night.

I'm feeling paranoid. Do my neighbors watch to see if my lights are on inside at night ?

They would dirty their pants if they knew I was in here cleaning all night because I sleep all day. I play loud music too. I wonder if they can hear it ?

The first thing I put into every house we buy is blackout shades. Invest in them, OP.

Actually, unless you've in an area with restrictions on light, you do not have a right not to have light intrude onto your property. Just like you don't have a right to have a dig bark free neighborhood or a neighborhood without hideous Christmas decorations. That something bugs you doesn't mean you have the right to have it eliminated. And I say this as someone who had to get black out shades once a neighbor started leaving on bright back porch lights.
