Sheridan is doing this, as part of the math program I believe, but I don't know if all or just some of the grades are participating.

Christ Episcopal did it. I wasn't aware of it in advance, but elementary school kids came home talking about it.

Anonymous wrote:Norwood 's doing some coding in the middle school. I don't think doing the hour of coding thing but I know a couple grades were doing coding because saw it in a memo. They have an amazing technology integration specialist who brings tech into the classroom instead of making tech a stand alone thing. Her energy, knowledge and enthusiasm is amazing. If your interested in what Norwood does, you should contact her.

"Why, thank you!" What a lovely an unexpected compliment (I am the ed tech at Norwood. )

We are doing Hour of Code in the Lower School and it is such a delight! The kids are working through problems and tasks using primarily iPad apps. Our middle school is piloting an elective in coding using a variety of resources to engage students in thinking skills and languages related to programming. I'd be happy to collaborate with any ed techs or teachers at local schools. Send them Norwood's way!

Have a super day!
