OP here. This is my concern. A gawdy oversized tv. Even in a big space..is 65" just too much?

Also in a 2BR condo. 32 inch that is thankfully not the focal point of anything.

We have 65 upstairs and 70 downstairs.

DH also has 55 in his office.

Big TV's are just part of the experience and most of the programming (tickers on the bottom, split screen advertising) is geared toward a larger TV.

We don't have a television since 2006, so I'm no expert, but we bought one for my parents a few years ago. We used a chart that based the size of the TV on the distance of the couch from the TV and then chose a TV on the larger end of the suggested range.
